Bypass Valve 1507A009

I ordered an EVO X (09 to be exact) OEM Bypass Valve and recieved a plastic one exactly like on my 2010 RA Sportback

OEM Part # 1507A009

I cannot find anything about this part #.
Does anybody know the OEM part # for the metal bypass valve for the EVO X?

Check the for sale section. I'm sure someone is selling one, and for alot cheaper than the dealer.

You would want 1545A001for the metal BOV.

1507A009 is the plastic one.

Maybe some leak more than others. I put the plastic BOV from a customer's RalliArt on a tuned EVO X and it really didnt make much difference. Maybe the EVO X turbo just powered right through it as the EVO X error correction dealt with the leak.

Then I put an EVO X metal BOV on my tuned RalliArt with a stock RalliArt turbo. It made a big difference.

Purple and blue runs were the stock RA plastic BOV and the red and green runs are with the factory metal BOV. The difference in boost was worth about 10 whp.

Thanks for posting that data Mike. Amazing that the plastic OEM BOV makes almost no difference on the EVO X but has such a negative impact on the RA.

Who would have thunk it

A compelling argument for those who may have been sitting on the fence regarding a replacement BOV. I know the EVO X BOV I recently purchased should be here in the next couple of days.

Yeah, I looked at the two BOVs. Both had a rubber o-ring on the valve. Both had the same spring pressure. Ran the test on the tuned EVO X and declared that there was no reason to switch it out. Figured that if anything would make it leak it would be a big bad X. Thought about it a little and then tried the test back the other way on a RA. OOps :-P
