How to check CEL with tatrix and evoscan?

Please tell me how to check the service engine soon code that just popped up. Hopefully it just has to do with the cold and the GST tune. The car doesn't drive any different.

Thanks

change "select DTC method" to EVOX EFI

change "select ECU: to Mode23 USA EVOX

Check the Openport 2.0 box and the CAN 2006+ box

I ran into the same problem the first time and just started trying different drop-downs until it worked

OT: You know what i found out today? On a 1999 dodge intrepid you can do a Key on, key off, key on key off, key on. The freakin mileage display will show you any DTCs you have. Why isn't this standard on all cars?

So products like this can be sold for ~$400...to the village idiots.

I got one of these http://www.scangauge.com/products/ and I LOVE it!!! It cost less than $200 and I have it mounted on my dashboard above the steering column and it gives me digital readouts of MPH, RPM, A/F ratios, Manifold Absolute Pressue(MAP), coolant temperature, and about ten other display options. Not only that, but here's the best part. It has a:
BUILT-IN SCAN TOOL!!!
The ScanGuageII allows you to troubleshoot your own car, read error codes, and the conditions present when the error occurred. You can also turn off the “Check Engine” light and avoid those costly trips to the mechanic.

Slee that sounds like a nice scan tool you got. I just hope the light stays off now. I know Bryan said he was going to look into the cold start CEL. I love the tune and don't want to have to go back to stock and get rid of the GST pill as well.

That is ridiculous.

OTOH I paid $2k for a SnapOn Solus that needs to be updated again.

I just got Evoscan and I can't get the damn thing to read anything on my car. Using v2.7.0090, have "CAN2006+/EvoX" and "Openport 2.0" checked, selected "Mode23 USA RA EVOX", and it acts like it connects but says "Cant read ECU ID" or something like that.

I followed the directions above. It worked perfect! I would check your settings and then try again.

It was just a cold start CEL related to the GST. Thanks to GST they released the V2.5 that got rid of it for good in the cold weather.

Looks like a solid product but the 80's called and wants the screen back
