AMS LICP Fitment

OK I was fixing to place an order to get the LICP and was told it would not fit even with the small battery kit. This product has been on the website for a long time and I never heard of this problem. Can anyone reply with their experience when install the AMS LICP?

definitely interested to know the answer

I called them about the same exact thing about a week ago. I just installed intake/battery, wanted to upgrade my LICP next. (I want to try and only get Evo X parts that also fit on the RA)

I could have sworn some people here already have the AMS LICP installed

Unfortunately the piping does not fit.

The upper portion on the lower IC piping hits the factory battery tray due to its size.

If you relocate the battery and trim the tray, it will fit properly with no issues.

I guess I just dont understand why this just came an issue because I know it has been on their website for over a year. I would assume that they would have addressed the issue as soon as they where called by their first customer saying it does not fit.

is there ANY way?

Half the appeal of the RA is how it uses a lot of Evo X parts. I prefer to buy parts that are compatible for both, especially with the RA market still growing

If the battery is relocated and the tray is trimmed, the pipe will work fine. We are not sure if you can use the small battery and just trim the tray slightly as we don't have a Ralliart here to test this as Eric Jones has his Ralliart in storage for the winter. As soon as we get another Ralliart in here we can check to see if this works so that hopefully the small battery doesn't have to be completely relocated to use the pipe.

Unfortunately at this time there are no plans to make a Ralliart specific LICP kit.

Do you recommend to stick with the stock LICP then, when switching to the ams fmic?

We have tuned many Ralliarts with our AMS FMIC and UICP with the stock lower piping. We believe that the FMIC is the biggest restriction in that stock setup so you will be fine with the stock licp. If you plan on installing a turbo on the car larger then an FP red then I would recommend upgrading the lower piping otherwise the stock licp would be fine.
