Problem with logging data with Evoscan
So I hooked up the tactrix cable openport 2.0 and opened evoscan 2.7.. It has openport 2.0 selected and 2006+ can/evox selected along with mode 23 usa ra evox selected... I click the start datalogging and the car starts to idle crazy and the ses light flickers. In the corner in evoscan where it shows the event etc and turns green when connected. It turns green and then yellow then back to green etc.I know the cable works I've used it to flash the car via ecuflah. I did already try uninstalling the drivers on the tactrix still same problem. Also emailed evoscan support and was told they never heard of this. Any idea?

Wow, thats really weird. look at all the connector prongs, make sure when of them isn't bent or broken? I've heard how on scoobies if the asc (i think 8) slot is connected it can cause problems, but nothing for mitsu's...

The prongs are fine and connections are good. Thanks for the idea. Wish it would have been that simple. Anybody else using tactrix 2.0 and evoscan run into this or had issue with connecting? Should be pretty straight foward...connect... log data.....

You may want to update evoscan to 2.8 and also make sure you have selected the proper vehicle from the dropdown list and that you have the proper data items defined:

I was able to log my 2010 just fine last night (First time trying) using the 55590007 deffs and evoscan 2.8. It should be noted that 2.8 (just downloaded and installed last week) did not have the correct offsets for mode 23 logging for the 2010 RA.

Yes the mode 23 is enabled and was reflashed afterwards... Im selecting mode 23 RA EVO X in the evoscan options. Just keeps doing the same thing. Mad SB, in the 09+ Ralliart evoscan adress/info thread, >Cataclysm< encountered the same problem but later said he could log... So what ever he did I need to do too. I sent him pm so hopefully works out. But thanks for the feedback.

Ok.. question.Im guessing since theses are unticked thats why I can't log. I need to enter the value amount 0x23,0x23, and 0x52 to actually enable mode 23. I was told the rom image already had it, but I thought you had to manually enter this correct? If someone could verify this looks correct much appeciated...

They already say 23,23,and 0052. Does everything look to be in order? It does need to be entered manually in order to use the mode 23? I assuming this is the actually prolem.. forgive my lack of tuning and computer skills...Not my specialty. Thanks

So long story short ''not my speciality'' I overlooked some things but officially logging data as of now. So something not so complicated turned over kill from stress and not so much experience. Still learning and thats a other reason to log data. Very awesome to see some much info that never know until you "talk to the car" Very funny way to put it.

Good deal,
Glad you got it sorted out If you don't mind sharing what did the trick and got you logging.... it may prove helpful for someone else stuck in this situation in the future
