Need A Tune

Hello everyone!

I live in Montreal where there is not very much tuner support....unfortunately.

I have an '11 Ralliart.

This summer I plan on doing these mods (mostly Ultimate Racing because they are in Toronto which isn't far by so shipping is cheap/no duty or additional taxes):

-Ultimate Racing Full turbo back exhaust (3" downpipe, resonated test pipe, cat-back (including resonated mid pipe))
-Ultimate Racing upper and lower piping for intercooler
-Ultimate Racing Short Ram Intake (or maybe just keeping my drop-in high flow Works filter)
-Ultimate Racing Boost Pill

I currently have the GST 93 octane + boost pill BaseMap installed which is great, but if I install the above parts, I will need a new tune and there's no here to do it!

If anyone has a reflash for similiar mods, please let me know. I will gladly buy it off of you or if you are willing to share. Either way, please let me know.

Thanks!!

It doesn't work with a boost pill or any type of modified intake/panel filter.

If you get a full turboback exhaust then you can get stage 2 gst map.
Are you sure the cobb ap doesnt work with the drop in filter? I know it says that but the filter doesnt change much of the stock ratios

I actually found someone here in Montreal who does custom tunes specifically for EVo's & Ralliarts. Apparently he did a bunch last summer (over 40). So there's at least 40-50 Ralliart's in the Montreal area + however many Evo's. Not bad!

He actually works off the GST BaseMap and modifies it as per whatever mods are added.

Aside from that, where is the Stage 2 GST map available? I've contact Bryan (Razorlab) and GST but got no response.

COBB doesn't support custom tunes. I've already asked them. It's just the tunes they have plugged into AccessPort. Unless you know of a way to get around that. Either way, the AccessPort is very limited.

I'm sure there's lots of tuners in your area that can adjust the GST base flash for whatever you add on.

Even the current GST basemap can be tweaked

If there is enough demand for something like this, I can create it.

What does Stage 2 mean to you guys?

Drop-in filter and catback?
Drop-in filter and full exhaust with hfc?
Drop-in filter and full exhaust with testpipe?

Wow, really! Bryan you have already done so much for this community, your generosity knows no bounds (someone wants a "you've got paypal" )!
On the serious side, Stage 2:
Would having a 3" dp make a huge difference in a basemap tune? Obviously for a full custom tune it will, but can you create a basemap that will be safe for both turbo back and hfc/tp+cb? As I understand it the major difference the dp would have vs hfc/tp+cb would be a faster spool (.1-.2 rpm sooner). Opening up the cat and cb is what changes the load cells used in WOT, but does a dp affect the load cells for WOT as well?
So basically, a drop-in filter, 3" cb, and 3" hfc/tp?

hi there, i'm from montreal as well =)

the "stage 2" should be mostly turbo back or DP + HFC at least
if GST is giving out (or even selling) Stage 2 basemap, that would change alot in my mod plan =D

As I understand it, on our car the dp doesn't make a whole lot of difference for overall power, just how quickly the turbo spools. I don't know if you've looked, but the stock dp is not a bad design, no bends just straight drop to the cat. On other cars it makes a HUGE difference, such as a WRX.

I do know that, i was just saying DP+HFC since most ppl refer to TBE that way..
I have the wideband welded on an OEM DP instead of buying a 3in =)

Bryan,

You are really the man!!

In my opinion, for a solid stage 2, I think the most common mods people have done are:

-3" Downpipe
-Test Pipe (or high flow cat)
-Full Cat-Back (incl. high flow mid pipe)
-Short Ram or CAI (or drop-in filter)
-Upper and Lower hard piping for the intercooler (some even with a larger intercooler)
-Boost Pill
-Upgraded BOV (EvoX, TiAL of HKS) (no difference for the tune, I guess just a safety)

So maybe a similar 91 + 93 octane tune including the boost pill (there should be no stage 2 WITHOUT the boost pill in my opinion).

Bryan, I'd suggest you charge people for it. There's no reason to do so much free work (unless you're a secret millionaire doing it for the good of the cause haha!!).

IMO thats a bit much for a stage 2. Minus an IC your at a full bolt on car with those mods. Id say Stage 2 should be a full TBE and some form of intake.

I agree it should always include a Boost Pill though.
