did you send your car to said shop with DTC'S was your original clutch's slipping?
As far as i kno automatic transmission's also have valve body's trans filter's and a but load of solenoid's and pressure switch's that control shifting and the amount of pressure applied to the clutch's they also use several detente ***** in the valve body that can shift out of place during removal or install. It makes it a sob to work on them from my past experience's its not always mechanic fault or shop's fault. my .02 good luck with repairs

TTP Engineering is the shop I took my car to. After the issue of the tranny came up. I asked Scott to please help make this right. Even after they just left my car outside his shop. I had my car driving with no issues, just installing the clutches and a retune. He abuses the fact that I paid in full before the job was complete and took 3 months to "complete" my car. TTP has washed they're hands with this problem even to the point after I had to be forceful with the actions I am forced to take. He tells me that I signed a paper the first time I got tuned 1 year ago that says I Understand that this is a performance tune and they're not liable. What does this mean? They could just do whatever they want and I'm left with the problem. Kris at SSP has amazingly enough offered to help with this rebuild or analization of this tranny. Big thanks to him again.

Werent you the guy that had 346whp and the clutches have been slipping for a long time? I remember reading a thread on your car a while back. Sounds like you are really pushing the car hard. What is the mileage on the transmission? Do you race the car? Drag strip launches etc? I remember reading about a Evo X turbo and downpipe cutout, is the setup the same? What changes have you made since the 346whp? What are your symptoms leading you to believe the transmission failure has anything at all to do with the installer of the SSP discs? Did the car ever run and shift with the new discs installed? If so, then how could can the problem point to the clutch and not the transmission failing like so many others even in stock form? What SST trans fluid was used? What does the tune have to do with the transmission and clutch?
I see on SSP's website they also offer transmission filters and upgraded DCT viton seals, did you buy those as well as I see they are recommended by SSP.

Seems like a lot of parts of this story are missing. If it was my car, I would be trying to find out what the problem was with the TC-SST and not jumping to conclusions and pointing fingers without having all of the facts in front of me to determine what is going on with the TC-SST system.
Here are some similar stories of others with TC-SST problems that might help you pinpoint the cause of TC-SST issues you are experiencing.

Why TTP and not 4wdMotorsports? It says you live in Maimi, TTP is in Orlando? I live in Miami aswell and 4WD is the only shop i would ever take my car too, As a matter of fact i have to give them a call to do my srpings, all my buddies have taken their cars to AWD and have had ZERO problems. Maybe you should give them a call next time, they do quality work on ALL their jobs.

guys, i'm just going to say it now to avoid anything down the road because we know where these threads like to end up. just remember, the subject of the thread is the sst, not ttp, so lets keep it on-topic and help the op figure out whats wrong with the car and hopefully see some good results that can benefit us all if this issue is resolved.
op, it really sucks to see this happen, but it may be well worth it to let ssp have a go at the car. i realize its extremely disparaging when something like this happens, but they are the ones who pioneered the sst upgrades and they are the ones who can get things right. having the car fixed and running right may just renew your love and make you decide to keep it after all. it may save a lot of money and headache in the end.

Its still good to let people know in the community whats going on with shops in their area.. The guy is not BASHING TTP he is simply providing us with the experience he has had with dealing with them nothing wrong with that from my POV.. TTP isnt a vendor here so as far as i know he doesnt need approval to post his experience..

I realize that he isn't bashing TTP. I am just getting sick of hearing the horror stories. I am shocked that people in Florida still aren't clued into what the deal is as far as getting your car worked on. There are a few people in Orlando who are trustworthy when it comes to having your Evo/Ralliart worked on. IMO, TTP is definitely not one of them. Search around the internet if you are curious to know why (*cough* YouTube *cough*).
You guys in Florida want a tune? There is at least one guy at Titan who is dynamite with this platform. Jestr is always a good bet. The guys down at AWD are awesome. There was someone at CFT (King's now) in Orlando who was mentioned awhile back.
I would take my car to AWD and ONLY AWD to have clutch packs installed.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but must admit I am at a loss.
Mods have risks, we all know that.
....rather than man up and choosing to accept the results of your decisions and just having it repaired (like virtually everyone else would do) you are dumping the car on your finance company?
Am I getting the picture clearly? So somehow that is an acceptable solution that the finance company gets screwed by getting a repo of a damaged car that is apparently worth less than you owe on the car
And somehow you are complaining that your credit will be damaged because you chose to handle this situation in this manner rather than fulfull your obligation to make your car payments?
Now the effing car is the problem, and effing SST is the problem, and the effing finance company is the problem because they get screwed and lose money on your car and then report their loss due to your poor decision on your credit report. It seems everything and everyone but the person who made the decision to have the mod done to the car seems to be at fault.
The message here is that there seems to be no personal responsibility at all for making what turned out to be a bad decision.
Like I said I am sorry for your misfortune, but have absolutely no respect for the irresponsible way you chose to handle this.

Since there is not been any proof I have read about any wrongdoing on the installer's part, the stock SST discs were torn up already which is why he upgraded and from what it looks like in the videos, the transmision is the problem, not the discs. Unless there was something messed up in the tq maps ssp sold the customer, it seems like its neither SSP's fault or the installers. my .02

This is the final thing I'm going to say. I haven't responded anymore because I'm exhausted of this issue. I have just spent all this money to just fix the slippage of the clutches there was NOTHING wrong with my car before the upgrades. I don't track my car I'll go to the 1/8 mile track maybe once every 1-2 months. I drive spirited most of all. All the guys thinking that I'm bashing should really pay attention to what I have just gone through. Take the advice or not. Do not dare try to convince me that I have done wrong with my upgrades but my chosing of that shop. Awd I should've gone to you and just been happy with my upgrades. I have serviced my car to the extreme.I just took my car to the dealer and another shop just to get the result of my decision to take it to TTP and they said tranny is gone. I don't have any warranty do to any upgades and the fact that the tranny has been cracked open. So I'm left with no more money to transport it to SSP for Kris to be able to help me. I have a great looking car with no go. I will be parting out this car putting it back to factory and joining the millions in bankruptcy. I'm not trying to have any pitty towards my situation just pay attenntion to the forums and what can happen if your not attentive to Research before its too late. Thank you for your feedback.
