Plus don't search the evo x engine marketplace section, search the part out's section or try the base model for sale thread.

Good luck with your search!
Theres a difference? I didn't know that..I know some aftermarket companies use a bigger size that won't fit very well with the sst. I used LICP from the GSR.. no fitment issues or anything. I just recently upgraded to the AMS evo X LICP fits like a charm, but does require battery relocation.

When I was getting my aftermarket intercooler set put on at evolution dynamics here in dallas (they started NTEC which a huge evo club) they told me they couldn't put on a gsr licp because it differs from the mr/se one. I had to wait until they could find me one to place it on. Plus NTEC is known for dissecting evo's down to the atom and learning every bit and part that makes it run even better.

My added mods were a nesei uicp and oem fmic/licp. I was told getting an aftermarket licp doesn't make extremely noticeable gains like the fmic and uicp does

As for the OEM LICP I know the GSR piping will fit the RA. I'm not Saying NTEC doesn't know what they saying...just going from personal experience that LICP from 08 GSR fit on my car with the evo x intercooler without any issue.
As for upgrading LICP... i don't think their was ''real'' gain difference. Personally like the design of the AMS LICP may not be a true gain but designed for better performance compared to stock evo x LICP. Also was alot easier to install and like the powder coated black appearance. Just my two cents....

I see you have the AMS intake, but does the GSR LICP require relocating the battery, if I have the OEM tube installed?

I don't think anyone has done comparison pulls for just the LICP, but if you look at the stock LICP, there is a big restricting "dimple" in part of it. Not sure why it's there; it's not for clearance reasons.

I used the GSR LICP when i was using the stock intake and factory battery under the hood with the OEM evo X intercooler....no problems. I don't think theirs a difference in the OEM LICP between the GSR and MR/SE.

Thats true. The design of the AMS LICP is improved over OEM. First the two piece design of the AMS is much easier to install and get lined up. Second got rid of the black ''rubber'' throttle body hose and if you look at the AMS piping see where it goes to the throttle body its much more a straight path. Third if look at where it connects to the BPV it also use a straight path compared to the ''snorkel''. Would be interesting to see pull comparsions even if its not a ''noticeable'' gain.

Couple pics of the oem evo x licp. The metal battery bracket removed for the install of ams licp. Couple pics of the ams licp installed.

They work just fine.

I am using the Braille branded battery because the CCA is rated at 426 its dimensions are 6.8x3.4x6.1 which are comparable to the other small batteries.
