A package from CBRD showed up today!

I got notiifed by CBRD my shipment was going out yesterday, and first thing this morning it was sitting on my doorstep! I picked this OEM Ralliart turbo up used and sent it up to them right at 2 weeks ago, so the CBRD turn around time was really pretty quick.

The quality of their work certainly looks nice to me, but like they always say a picture says a thousand words, so here are some photos to share.

I have all the other performance mods already installed on my car, so just need the RAD turbo installed and that should finish my performance mods. I'll be planning to try and get it installed and get the car tuned in the next couple of weeks. Ideally I would prefer to get a Cobb Protune, and just add the MAP to my Cobb Accessport. CBRD is hopefully investigating that, and if we can get it coordinated I'll get the car up to CBRD for them to tune on their Mustang dyno.

Nice! This will be my next mod. I should install my other parts before buying anything else.

Hey Sharky, CBRD coined the term/accronym RAD early on in their Ralliart Specific aftermarket development. So RAD seems to stand for Ralli Art Designed or Developed, and indicates products specific for the Ralliart.

The turbo mod seems to be a good value at only $895.

Grimmspeed Port n Polish Update

I just got the CBRD modified RAD turbo back from Grimmspeed.

They did a super quick turn around, and the Port and Polish and hotside Ceramic coating looks just great to me. I'm not really sure how much additional power these extra slight enhancements might add, but I know they can't hurt!

Since the turbo is so small, I really wanted to try and get everything out of it reasonably possible, and I expect these minor enhancements should help her spool just a little quicker, and hold just a little more boost at higher RPMs.

Check out the updated turbo pictures and let me know what you think.

SEXY! That is something I'm contemplating doing as well. To take full advantage be sure to P&P the exhaust manifold as well (at least the runners) {thumbs up}
