Hose Conflict

I just put on a EvoX BPV on my Ralliart and I also have the Ultimate Racing UICP installed.

It seems the routing of the EvoX BPV is a little different than the stock RA one.

There's a small hose that recirculates the air back into the engine. That hose is up against the UICP a bit.

I'm just concerned that over time, the heat running through the UICP will melt through that hose.

Anyone have a fix or should this be fine?

I don't have the upgraded pipe but my hose has been touching up against the stock UICP for months now and I've had no problems. Just keep an eye on it. The only thing I can think of doing to fix it would be to get a longer hose and figure a way to run the hose around so that it doesn't touch.

i have the same exact problem, all u have to do is loosen the clamp for the bpv and twist it so that the hose is away for the uicp, u should be able to get it nearly an inch away. i was more concerned that that hose bending that much would crimp after a while but after i made this adjustment its been fine.

Yep, that's exactly what I did, and I've been running it since last Fall with no problems.

Thanks everyone!! I didn't know if it was okay to re-adjust the BPV because it might crimp the hose. I ran it all weekend (plus scorching weather) and it seems to be fine.

I'll fiddle with it tonight and move it around.
