CBRD RAD Turbo
So I'm looking on getting some parts for the car and I know I'm going to be hitting Mike up from RRM for an exhaust but I'm also looking to upgrade my turbo. I don't think I'm interested in doing all the work and putting out all the money for a evo x swap. I'm leaning toward the CBRD RAD turbo but I really haven't seen anyone with one yet. My question to everyone is. Does anyone have one and what kind of gains can I expect to see? I have tried to contact CRBD directly but I thought I would come to the message boards for some customer feedback. Thanks.

Thanks, I have actaully read his thread and i was looking for some other people's opinion plus it was weird how he said the turbo was larger than the stock evox one. I thought they were a direct replacement for the stock ralliart turbo.
NFSLancer do you know how it is larger than the stock evox turbo?

Assuming the gaskets get here tomorrow as expected, I am having my CBRD RAD turbo installed tomorrow, and then the car should be tuned on Friday.
I'm not bothering with having any baseline tests done, just a stable tune on a stingy mustang dyno. I'll be sure to share some feedback.

The housing should be the same size since it uses an RA core. I believe NFS was referring to the interior measurements when he said it was larger than the evo x turbo.

Thanks guys I was kind of assuming he was talking about the internals but I wanted to make sure. Ridesober please do update us as I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one interested in results.

I just talked to Chad about it, The RAD is rated at 38 lb/min while the Stock X turbo is 36 - 37 lb/min. The RAD also includes a 20psi actuator.....

I believe the main difference between "full" and "lite" was only the turbine material, iirc. This meant more in terms of quicker spool than much else, from what it sounded like anyway.
Chad would be the one to ask, but I believe he even said that it really wouldn't even be worth producing since even the stock turbo can push peak torque early enough that the RAD "full" wouldn't be worth the extra cost over the standard RAD, not to mention the headaches it would cause with the SS-T.
This is all from a fading memory, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Has anybody found out for sure whether the stock injectors need to be upgraded when installing the CBRD RAD turbo? I've heard mixed opinions on this, and was hoping for a definitive answer.
