3-Port Tubing Question
OK so I got re-tuned a few weeks ago with a 3-port. The barbs that it comes with are WAY too small, and the potential is too high for a tubing blowing off. So I picked up new screw-in barbs this morning from OSH (free plug, love that place)
Anywho, one of the lines was REALLY tight on the stock smaller barb, and the new larger ones are about an inch longer; so the tubing wouldn't fit. I tried re-routing, but to no avail.
So I had to find a way to extend it. Checked all the tubing I have and nothing had the right ID, either too small or MASSIVELY too big. So I took the T from the stock solenoid (where the boost pill goes) capped off one end and use part of the stock tubing that was the correct ID to extend it.
So here are my questions:
1) Will this be safe to run, w/o over-boosting? I haven't yet gone out to log; I'd rather not over-boost when it's 90* out
2)The obvious right answer is "go buy a longer piece of the correct tubing", but I'm planning on getting a boost gauge. So rather than going to buy new tubing that I need splice into, can I use this T as a tap point for the boost gauge?
Thanks!

OK, If anyone is interested this works just fine. No over boost, hits 22psi carrying 20psi all the way to 6600rpm (god bless this 3-port!), and 23 at the shift. So it's all good.
Now just need to get a manual boost gauge and tap the third port (currently capped).

It just shifted the power band to the left. Spool is ~200rpm slower, but now it carries 20psi to 6600 instead of 6000. And yes from 6600-7200 it still drops like a rock
Using the stock solenoid, the WGDC was 100% from 5500 rpm on. Now it's in the mid 80's I believe (might have to double check that). So techincally, there is more room to create additional heat and loss more power
