Saw This Ad

I just saw this ad at the top of the EvoM forum...

Think it works or just bs?

http://www.sprintboosterusa.com/c-289-at.aspx

Maybe it could help some of the initial lag.

What lag?? lol
Our cars are drive by wire. So when you push the pedal down 50% the computer sends a signal to an electronic actuator telling it to open 50%
This sprint booster will adjust your drive by wire to something like 50% throttle input will open the actuator 100% This will make you think your car is much more responsive when in actuality you can get the same result by flooring the gas pedal.
Not worth it IMO.

You can do the same thing in the Throttle tables (i.e. set them all to 100%). There is a thread floating around about this.

To answer your question... Yes, they do work! We sell a lot of the Sprint Boosters but they're not popular on Evos because you can tune the lag out. They do work on other cars with less flexible tuning, though.

Ah....thanks for the info. I'll check with my tuner and get him to adjust it.

I'm pretty sure the new GST Basemap V2.7 that they're working on right now has addressed this lag issue when trying to get the car moving quickly from a dead stop. Sooo, don't waste your money!

I already have a custom tune and my tuner will adjust it for me.

Depending on what it is exactly you are looking for, I would change the WGDC to get the mo'fo spinnin' Or if you mean pedal modulation, adjust the throttle tables.

General consensus is: looks like its good if you can't tune out the lag?
