Turbo/FMIC choices?

Hi Guys, what is the max amount of torque ppl have gotten from these setups on a ralliart:

1) EVO X FMIC + EVO X Piping + EVO X Turbo

2) AMS FMIC + AMS Piping + EVO X Turbo

3) AMS FMIC + AMS Piping + FP GREEN Turbo

I'm interested to find out what amount of torque will be available and if there is any difference cause you're limited with the SST tranny for trackuse.thanks

and do you need to change the injectors on the first 2 setups?or are our injectors the same as with the X's?

And how many have you ran these combo's on track without SST coolers?

We have the same injectors as the X so if youre staying on pump gas with the evo x turbo you should be fine.

With the evo x you should be fine with your clutches cause it shouldnt make that much power however with an FP green you would have to limit it. Every car is different so there is no set number on how much torque the ralliarts can handle.

I belive the FP green will make more HP than a X turbo with a tad bit less TQ on pump gas.

it all depends on the tune and other mods, two cars with the same mods will produce different numbers.

how is flywheel hp and torque measured? I usually go by how much power you get to the wheels cause thats what matters most

These stock sized turbos will produce FAR more torque than you could possibly use (w/o blowing your ish up). It's rather easy to make 400 wtq with the X-turbo (which is too much, FYI, lol), the hard part is keeping the whp up above 6k rpm.

that's all I needed to hear
I know the limit of the SST tranny is +-350 (470nm) of wheel torque
and I just wanted to know if a stock EVOX turbo/FMIC would take me there.

Cause after that I don't see a point where you would need more unless you are changing the clutchpacks and all for the tranny.

Enginewise we have the same as the EVO X boys so it should be able to handle everything we can trow at it with the stock turbo and mapping it to the limit on that turbo.

GSR

I have an intercooler that is only slightly larger than the AMS one, and I still have the stock turbocharger.

I was just presenting an example of what you could hope to attain with the stock X turbocharger. To be honest, I am now in need of a Garrett 3076R. However, you will be more than happy with the kind of power that I am making now in the RA. Anymore, and you will need new clutches fairly soon.

(By the way, I will be listing my CBRD intercooler for sale tomorrow along with a long list of other crap that I need to get out of my garage, including the ID1000 injectors, Evo X IC, Injen UICP, K&N filter, Evo X BPV, Evo X LICP, MBCS, Cobb AP, etc.)

How much for your intercooler? Ill maybe take that off your hands.

Also why would he need new clutches??

There is an issue with the RA specific intercooler not lining up properly on the X (the RA is long gone, by the way). I tried a number of different conglomerations, and nothing worked. Reluctantly, I had to swap out the IC for something with supports on the bottom. Believe me, I liked that IC. I loved the turbocharger, too. I wish that I could have saved it.

Anyone who has met me in person knows that I have nothing but high praise to speak of you and your products, Chad. I am really torn between the BBX-lite and the Garrett, as well. You make a great product, there is no denying that. But for the same money as it would cost me to buy a used Evo X core, ship it to you, have you build me a new turbocharger, and ship it back; I would be dead even with the 3076R which is ball-bearing and not journal bearing. I don't mean for that to be cruel, either. That is as dead honest as I can be.

Because 450 WTQ is A LOT to ask of your stock clutches. They could probably take it if you had the computer programming from the MR, but even then I have seen MR's blow up from less. Food for thought.
