Red glowing Catalytic converter

According to Rich (whom is very knowledgeable) found out that the cat does indeed creep up to a very high temperature. Now knowing we both have a red glow im sure this is perfectly normal for our vehicles.
I have black soot as, from all the readings ive done over the last year i believe this is well in the safe parameters.
Thanks for checking it out for me, im sure as more people pay attention to a detail such as this, we will find this is normal

When you thrash the stock tune for a sustained length of time, WOT mixtures will go between 10:1 and 9:1. There won't be much in the way of unburnt fuel getting through to the cat, as MIVEC isn't utilised effectively.
When you thrash Bryan's tune for a sustained length of time, mixtures will go between 11:1 and 10:1. MIVEC tuning is more aggressive - some unburnt fuel may sneak on by during spool-up. Tuned that way for moar torque.
