Lightbulb pop off valve

Anyone drive a wrx sti and notice that you could hear the pop off valve working between shifts? That was the only thing that I liked more about the car. I was wondering how the valve was setup different than the RA. Would it be possible to setup the RA the same way? Any thoughts or ideas ?

This has nothing to do with pop off valves.

It is the intake which allows the sound to be heard. My CAI has amplified the sound of my BPV by 100x. I wasn't looking for that, but that is how it goes.

He meant BOV, or BPV when recirculating.

I ran VTA for months without a tune and had no issues but I have heard that some people had stalling problems, I think its a hit and miss on these cars. OP the reason yoiu dont hear it is because on stick shift cars the throttle plate closes everytime you shift forcing air out thru the BPV and in our cars there is no clutch pedal which means you never let go of the gas so the plate is always open. I think that the people that have had issues with stalling have just gone from WOT to no gas just to hear the blow off and then back to WOT after the air has already been released.

LOL i thought so, and i contemplated doing the same thing.

To the OP, the reason why you can hear the Subbies BOV is because the intake is more open then the mitsubishis'. If you put a cone filter on youll hear it just fine.
