Who would be interested in renting a MUT-3 for $75 -$100 to do this? I'd need you to put a deposit for $800 down, I'd ship it, once received back I'd refund $700. This covers me so no one steals it, but also makes this affordable for the average joe to do.

I would be more than willing to do a deposit for rent. I would just need a how to also. put me on the list for the future. This may be a stupid question, but would this also work on a 2012?

Magic.
In park? Typo, I presume?
Apparently, you need to be VERY HARD on brake.
Very happy to see you guys get this working. Totally brilliant.

Bad news. Launch control wont work. ie. I am in park, put the car into S-sport, turn off ASC, foot on brake, then foot on gas....and the clutch is still engaged. We even had a guy who owns an evo come by to help us out and he says the ASC has to beep, and even goes on to say a warning sign is to come on the LCD pannel.

I'd be willing to do the rental with deposit. When the time comes, put me down lol. What would it take to get ahold of the usdm x cff file? It should theoretically be embedded in the current us software eh?

To be honest I think it is the tune. A good test would be to do the SST update on a stock ECU. I cant go to stock because of my mods/to lazy to switch out pill and other stuff.
Also, Ill do the write up Tuesday.

Eagerly awaiting.... this is literally the only reason why I'd consider trading in my Sportback for an MR/SE. I really want to push this wagon to 450-500whp, but w/o S-Sport I don't feel confident going past 400whp (not that I'm there yet either, ha!)

quick question, for those of us tuned with the Cobb AP. I was tuned with apparently stock sst tables, however, my question is, does the process involve communication with the Ecu? As most know the AP is unfriendly with other ecu tuning methods when married...

That's a good question. I think someone will just have to try and see. But if it did cause issues that could point to the ecu controlling ssport and not the tcu. Either way we now know definitively that we can activate ssport through the obd. Which is big cause it means someone can develop a way to do this without the MUT.

so it essentially comes down to someone reverse engineering the mut's programming instructions and writing instructions for the op 2.0 via ecuflash or another new software. I'm anxious to see what this brings about... TcuFlash... I like the sound of that lol
