hence why i was going ot flash my own Evo MR with the cff file and see if the SST behaves any different (upgrading my 2008 tcu firmware with 2012 firmware)

i also just used the available MUT3 software on my laptop - and plugged a VCI into it, updated the VCI firmware.... voila!

Can it be any VCI or does it have to be a Mitsubishi specific VCI?

S-Sport ftmfw dealer gave me no hastle at all I got super lucky. I should have done this months ago.
