Cams

Cams
So I'm getting my CBRD Rad Lite installed Friday. I'm thinking that before October is up, I might also add a cam.
My question:
If the Rad Lite is generally safe boost (24-26psi), adding JUST a cam should be fine correct? The OEM rods, pistons, valves, springs, etc. should be fine right?
Also, Kelford vs Brian Crower? BC is cheaper...don't really know much about cam manufacturers and the difference between them.
Thanks!

Not sure why you would just get a cam and not cams. Check the manufacturer's recommendations in terms of supporting mods. For some cams, it's recommended that you replace other parts like valve springs.

Ambystom01, my original title is cams and I mean the plural. I'm not changing one singular cam haha...
Razorlab, why don't you like their products? I have read other negative reviews as well.
I'm thinking of doing a stage III which requires new springs so a Titanium spring/retainer kit.

This is Dustin from BC. When Brian left CROWER in 2006 and started BC the company expanded very quickly and actually grew too fast. As with any new company we experienced growing pains in the first few years. ANy issues we had have been handled (mostly employee changes). We stand behind our products 100% and if anyone has any questions or concerns with the BC products please contact me direct at 619-749-9018 or email me at dustin@briancrower.com
We use the same cam core as KELFORD, GSC and CROWER and our valve spring kits are made in Michigan by PAC racing springs.

Kelfords have worked very well, in the 10's. I like product that work well.
I say the same thing about DW products too. Crap product.
Fortunately there are other companies that make stuff that are proven to work. You have the option.

Well I hope you have them figured out now, because they sucked a couple years ago, that's for sure.

We reworked the entire department a few years ago and made the appropiate employee changes and fixed all the issues we had.

Great input everyone. A company cannot be permanently held to past failures. Hopefully moving forward BC has corrected the issues.
DW has gotten a lot of bad reviews. I think FIC and ID are the way to go injector-wise.
Thanks for the clarifications Dustin. Razorlab is very experienced with the Evo9 and EvoX/RA platforms so I trust his opinion.
I have a few things to do before cams but it will most likely be stage II + valves + titanium spring/retainer kit.
