Cracked turbo manifold

Manifold is cracked anything that could go severely wrong if i drive on it for a little bit? or if it'll be just noisy? just looking to save up for my X turbo swap

Just carry a fire extinguisher and stay out of boost.

Not the worst fire risk ever as long as your heat shield is still on there.

However, it's better to fix it sooner than later.

Like its from an accident last month. I just never really cared about the exhaust leak, I thought it was my downpipe gasket. Too late to get it fixed? Anybody know stuff about insurance?

CBRD is apparently working on an aftermarket one. Look for the thread.

I'd suggest changing it out as soon as possible before something bad happens (I don't know the severity of the crack).

Yea, I was interested in dealing with the lil TD04 but now it's sounding like the compressors screwed so rather than spend money on something that has handheld vacuum power Im gonna do an X swap . The guys down at Boostin Performance are gonna be putting a FP Red or TF06-18K in the spring. They'll swap everything out for less than 600 and tune it both ECU & SST for around another 600. And they don't treat you like you don't exist if you don't drive a GTR like the guys at AMS make you feel. Devin @ BoostinPerformance made this FML moment better

If the crack is not that bad - you can drive it. Unless the hot gas is impinging on wirirng or somesuch...

It's got a super ****ty idle but everything seems to be doing well. Can't wait for my X swap

It should not affect idle... That could be a different problem.

Have you seen the crack? Pix? Did the idle issue start the same time you started hearing the cracked manifild?

It was in an accident and the whole exhuast got knocked forward a bit. I assume its the manifold because it looks like that's where I can see exhaust coming from. There is a service required light but I assume its probably just one of the o2's not showing a reading. Just waiting for my new UR single exit to come so I can reinstall the factory cat and have that all looked at

There is a very loud exhaust leak that makes it sound VTEC'y and it just seems like on idle its running way harder than usual

If the front o2 was damaged, it could cause it to run slightly off since the a/f is not being properly monitored and it may just be staying in "open loop" fuel trims which are not exactly ideal
