I know it took awhile to find one at a price I was willing to pay, but I went the EvoX route and managed it all under $250 including cooler, lines, t-stat and "brackets". There are 2 listed available on car-part(dot)com right now, one with lines and one without (look up oil cooler for 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer), and while a little more than what I paid, still well below $400-500

I also have a set of lines available if someone is interested: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...ler-lines.html

For brackets, I actually just rigged my own "temporary" brackets with pre-drilled flat-stock and bent it to where I needed it. It has held up so well that I really don't see any need to change it up at this point.

Like you said, if you can make a more efficient setup at a similar price point, that is definitely the way to go if you plan on driving your car HARD, but for my uses, I felt the EvoX cooler was just fine, and far better than the nothing that Mitsu provided us with in the first place.

Pics of my setup, please don't mind the dirt

It's not in the picture. I had to find a solution after installing this and just ended up making my own using the original filler-neck. It's very low capacity, but could be expanded if someone really wanted.

I just ran to supply shop and bring hose and existing fitting to them and ask them what I need and how I want it to be lol

But main thing that need to buy
For engine oil cooler
Sandwitch plate with relocation kit
Oil cooler 25-30rows
Fitting and hose you can get from your local supply shop or online if you know size
And piece of steel that you can make holes and bend it to make bracket

Tranny oil cooler
You need 25-30 rows cooler
Used existing hose
1/2 fitting and custom bracket
And another half qouat of tranny fluid
(Recommend do it when time to do tranny fluid (30k miles)

It's all gone lol

For the engine side
Once you buy the oil filter relocate kit just buy fitting for cooler same size as that relocat kit so you will use hose on that size

Why did you relocate the filter or use a sandwich plate when there are holes in the block already there to run lines for an oil cooler?

Well you can do that too but I want to do this way ,on the relocate kit have spot to put pressure and oil temp sensor too so I'm prepare for more gauge for me later on

Ahh, ok, I see. I was just curious what the motivation was for the relocation kit. Cool.
