reliabillity_lookin to buy ralliart

i am lookin into gettin a ralliart i jsut got out of a 2005 volvo s40 t5 and wanting to step up performance and like the ralliart. but due to my price range i have to get higher milege vehicle then i normally have bought. So my questions are how is the reliabillity of the lancer ralliiart drivetrain: engine, trans, turbo etc. the ralliart i am looking at is a 09 with 80,600 miles. what is the miles people are gettin out of these car before problems set in? the car i am lookin at was a one owner and was well maintaned and taken care of. So if you guys could let me know what miles are comiing out of these engines and reliabillity of the vehicle i would greatly appriciate it!

Just make sure the tcsst has been serviced at least once, if its been done more it means the previous guy loved his car. That's the only thing that'll hold you back. I drive my 09 ralliart like an ******* constantly and it can handle anything I throw at it

If the owner does the usual maintenance and take care of the car there shouldn't be any problem. As for problems they can happen at any miles, no one can tell you that. My advice is stay away from cars that modded.

Just make sure proper maintance was done (Ask for service records). 2009 has the old weak timing chain that can scretch and, also make sure the warranty is still valid and written on paper. Stay away from any highly modded Ralliarts and, make sure that the ACD is working properly because a new pump is $2K to replace.

Did not know that about the timing chain. Looks like that's next maintenance for me. Just do as people have suggested. Stay away from highly modded ones, get service records and if you don't see a tranny fluid and filter change have them take to Mitsubishi and do it before u spend a penny on it with it having 80k miles
