my sportback come stock with 237 hp. i added a k&n drop in, a solid uicp, and a 3 inch magnaflow cat back exhaust. how much hp should it have now? i say maybe 250 but my friend says close to 270.

 

I wouldn't even entertain the discussion, because those hp numbers are at the crank, not at the wheels, and that's where you measure real world horsepower.

Bring it to a dyno in Ma and find out

I was 237 whp with full turboback (UR High Flow Cat and Down Pipe+ Magnaflow Catback), EVO X intercooler, hard IC pipes, K&N filter, EVO X BPV + custom Akuma tune. I really doubt he is at 215whp, more like 200-205.

Read the GST Tune thread(sticky). He post dyno graphs for the stock car, and the gains that can be reached just by using the free tune razorlab and rich have created.

well in your first few posts might not want to call other members DBs. Secondly you are probably around 200whp-ish. And yes, check into the GST maps, they will do wonders. I did a few dyno pulls on a dynojet with CBE, Pill, and GST maps and i hit right at 250whp/280wtq

 

Without a tune... the power will be the same, or so close to the same that it could be considered within the limits of the margins of error.

Toss in a boost pill and a tune (even with the GST Boostpill base map) you'll be in the neighborhood of 250 - 270.
