Is EVO X lower ICP same as the Ralliart?
Hi all
is the EVO X Lower intercooler pipe the same as teh one for the ralliart except that teh EVO X is wider?
Id it the same shape over all to fit or do i have to modify it or is it better to just use a reducer on the stock Ralliart Pipe?
Thanks

They are not the same.
They're the same basic shape. So, they'll both fit in the same area, but there are differences that are significant enough that it isn't just a "simple swap". You could do your own custom BPV tubing/piping solution, unless you also have the EvoX BPV tubing/piping.

I have a question about swapping out the EvoX intercooler into a Ralliart.
The crash beam in the middle of the bumper is solid on the Ralliart.
The Intercooler is bigger then the stock but will it really be worth it if the beam blocks the air from hitting the top part of the intercooler.
Was just wondering this.

it's definitely better. Bryan (starter of the GST basemaps) benchmarked and posted up graphs of the stock RA IC and an aftermarket EvoX IC in his project sportback thread. The differences are significant even with part of the IC being blocked.

The EVO crash beam is superior for flow - but the RA air also 'backs up' in front of the FMIC and cools the entire frontal surface. The whole frontal area is a high pressure area (if that helps).
No worries, eh?

I didn't swap out the LICP I just got a reducer.

LICP is a pain in the *** to do, but worth every bit. Those damn angles and bolts .
I ended up fabricating a BPV extension pipe out of 5" or 6" (don't remember, been awhile) aluminium piping so it would fit correctly in the engine bay.

con: major pita to put in.
benefits of swapping are debateable on the stock turbo
