Sorry to have to create another thread but all the info I could find is inconsistent and scattered. Hopefully this can help someone else in the same situation out! The question:

Some sources say that the bent part of the RA stock UICP that connects the piping to the FMIC will not fit the X's FMIC due to length. Other sources say that length isn't issue, but I would need reducer couplers to go from the FMIC's 2.5" to the stock pipes 2".

Can anyone confirm on either?

Just use the search button. It's not hard to find the correct information if you just stop and look. Like you said there are like 20 of these topics already. Also google is your friend. If your going to get a x intercooler just go ahead and buy a aftermarket hard pipe to save yourself a headache. And if you really want to save yourself some time swap out that crappy stock LICP for the stock x LICP.

But to answer your question it's both the length and the coupler size. Since our stock fmic is smaller the pipe has to be longer. I think it's like 2-4 inches longer so if you want to save some money go ahead and chop away.

 

Correct, you can just cut your stock coupler shorter to use for uicp attachment.

The size difference comes at the licp. The stock RalliArt fmic outlet is 2.25, the stock RalliArt pipe diameter is 2.5, so there is a reducer-coupler from the factory. The stock X fmic outlet is 2.5 and matches the RalliArt licp piping diameter, so you need a new 2.5 straight coupler if you plan on re-using your stock piping
