ams downpipe/turbo question

Im new to the forums here at evom, I came from club4g after selling my 4g and upgrading to the ralliart. I bought the ralliart about a month ago, knowing it had a SRI, a grimmspeed 3 port, and an exhaust system (still trying to find out which one). Last week I took the car in to get an o2 bung welded for my wideband when I was told I had an extra already in place. I looked when I went to install and it definatly has an AMS downpipe installed. Ive done a lot of research since trying to read everything I could on here and other sites. If I understand correctly AMS downpipe means Evo x turbo swap, correct? I havent had time to get the car on a lift to look myself but the only two possibly I have been able to conclude on is either it has an Evo x turbo swap or the previous owner did some serious welding to get it to fit. Any info would be awesome, and im sorry if I sound like a noob on this one.

If it has an Ams downpipe than you have a evo x turbo on the car.

You can pull the shield and see what the numbers are on the turbo. But yeah, the AMS downpipe will not fit the stock Ralliart turbo. I am looking for one that is a direct bolt up for the Ralliart
if anyone knows of a good quality company that makes one.

Ultimate Racing is the only company that makes a downpipe that removes stock o2 housing.

That's correct but it only fits evo x stock frame turbos. Doesn't fit ra turbo.

Ah I see what your saying now. Lol I have the evo x turbo. Time for a tune & BOV ( yes the previous owner was stupid enough to run an evo x turbo swap without a tune & with the stock ra BOV) Thanks for the info, ill be making a ride thread soon.

So they make a downpipe that removes the stock 02 housing for a Ralliart? What do you do with the extra plug for the 02 sensor? I am wanting to squeeze as much hp out of my Ralliart as possible for now until I can afford a turbo upgrade/swap. What I am looking for is a downpipe that fits the RA that also has a wideband bung welded in. I am also going to change out my factory CAT. I already have the Magnaflow 3 inch exhaust from the CAT back which I am ok with for now.

Yep its under 09 ralliart long downpipe (o2 housing). It's $350 on their website plus an extra $25 for extra wideband bung. You can plug the bung if you don't need it at that time.
