Glad I can help you guys out. Somebody might as well benefit from me ordering every single piece of the UR catback system. I guess I'm kind of picky so I mixed and matched until I got the sound I wanted.

Anyone else have some trouble with the midpipe section that connects to the catilac converter?

I did it, i had to crack open this weird aluminum wrap that went around it so i wouldnt have a leak, then once i had it nice and tight the part that wrapped around it wouldnt close so now it rattles lol

If you're talking about the aluminum wrap at the rear converter flange yes, I initially had some trouble with that. What I did was stretch that aluminum that extends past the rear converter flange with the UR midpipe. The UR midpipe flange is larger than the oem flange so it does take a little elbow grease but it does fit without having to cut or loosen that. The other important thing with the midpipe is to make sure you have the flange angled in the right direction. If you look at the UR midpipe, the flange that is supposed to butt up against the converter is angled. Logically you would think that the flange should angle away from the heat shield along the under body of the car (angle towards the drivers side). This is not the case because when you tighten the exhaust it draws the midpipe right into the under body heat shield towards the passenger side of the car and will rattle against the heat shield. The flange on the midpipe needs to be angled so the midpipe is angled towards the passenger side of the car. I know this is a long @ss explanation but hopefully this helps.

ya i get it but might be too late because i was in a rush and accidently bent the aluminam wrap trying to force it in. So i just loosend it up and bolted it up like that. I'm pretty sure I don't have any leaks but then again I am always paranoid lol
As for the noise I just i just have to deal with it untill i get my test pipe.
maybe i can ust a clamp to tighten it so it doesnt rattle

If you have any problems with leaks do what I do. Every time I change out an exhaust part I put a thin coat of "muffler mud" on the gasket before I bolt it together... Just a thin coat on the gasket itself because you don't want a bunch of goop squishing out on the inside of the exhaust when you tighten the bolts. Seals up damn near any exhaust even if the flanges are jacked up in some way

Well if you're getting a test pipe soon I'd just suck it up til then or like you said just get a large metal hose clamp. That should keep the shield around the converter flange from rattling. I know what you mean about exhaust leaks. I made sure that I started my car while I had mine up on my stands and I thoroughly checked each flange for a leak. Hope you get it fixed up.

Sweet! I don't have my own production studio at home so it's a little difficult for me to get clips on here. I did try to take clips with my cell this morning but that idea didn't work. Maybe I'll try my dig. camera and see how that works because everyone on here wants to know what the UR exhaust sounds like.

So i put a large hose clamp on it today, it helped a little but it still rattles because of the screws are missing and i can't really put it back on because its that sperated.
Also I think there might be a leak because small amount of water drops from that spot when its cold.
I don't want to jack it up again because its sooo windy and cold outside
uhh this sux

so wats this muffler mud , is that the real name

I think muffler mud is a brand name. If you go to an automotive store and ask for exhaust system sealant, or exhaust system repair products they will direct you to the right stuff.

All help and advice appreciated as always.

Did you got your exhaust already? The UR exhaust is a screamer and vibrates like hell if your from SoCal cops might pull you over for that loud exhaust...
