Request: How to - Evo X Turbo Swap

We know all the parts required, would anyone like to share their experience installing them?

I believe the biggest problem when doing this yourself is the fact that the bolts don't come apart easy. Many a thread where people have spent hours trying to undo exhaust bolts and stripping threads on O2 sensors.

I see. So what's the solution to this? Is there any special equipment required that one could hire or not that simple?

I don't think he meant at the same time. On my old truck I had a brush gaurd that was rusted on real good. My dad and I spent a day just using WD40 and a wrench with a lot of leverage to get it loose. For the under bed spare tire mount i WD40'd that thing twice a day for 2 days but when it came time to remove it, it came off like butter!

WD40 + time & patience = win

This needed a bump-skies.

It should be pretty straight-forward adapting those instructions to the RA. Eric@AMS should be able to fill in the extra steps that will be required to get this bad-boy swapped. When you see a part that is not carried over, just remove the stock piece and insert the new EVO X piece. If I see any glaring differences that need addressing when I have my car in the air, I will update this thread.

Please use your best judgment when combining flammable oil products and any heat source. Although, prepping the car before undertaking something like this is key. There is a great video on YouTube that shows how-to do this in the most efficient way. I will try and find it.

Great contribution NFSLancerRA.

Let me know how you go with your setup. I have all the parts sitting in my garage and would much rather have them on the car!
