New owner of Ralliart

Hey everyone,

Name is Kevin. Just got myself a 2009 Ralliart on wedensday, march 17th. Rotor Glow Metallic. Got it used with 21k miles for only 22k, from original sale price of 26k, so had to take it. My former ride was 2008 scion tc. Gotta say I love the car. Don't have many pics but here's 2:

Got my friend's wrx^

Got it with evo exhaust (sounds awesome), lowering springs not sure which ones, and HID fog lights, looks like 3000k. My plan for it is intake, new rims/tires and HID low beams.

I've been searching the forums since I got the car and finding answers to my questions but still confused on how to do HID's in the standard head light housing with drl's. So I would buy a hid kit for 9006 bulb, but then have to disable the drl right?

Other questions are does a new intake make you hear the bov? And when I went to get gas yesterday, the lever by the seat to release the gas cover takes many pulls until it actually releases the cover, not sure what's wrong with it?

Welcome to da club. I swear I saw that same one on Ebay for sale in Texas, because of the blacked out ring. Enjoy the forums.

evo exhaust? haha. no.

if has a catback or system of some sort, but not a "evo" exhaust.

I would bet my left nut this was ehboh's car.. idrivera i think was his name before.

Also, intake will require a tune, even the injen against popular belief as you lean out too far with added mods.

If you want to make power, spend the 600$ on a cobb access port and run the 91 octane map. Its the best bang for the buck.

Additionally go to www . ultimate-racing . com and pick up an upper intercooler pipe, and possibly their front mount.

Well not really looking to add power, not doing anything with the ecu, want to keep my warranty. But I'm not sure what the exhaust is, was told it was an evo exhaust but whatever it's called. lol. Thanks for letting me know that secondchance.

So would you happen to know what brand the exhaust could be?

Might have to pass on intake if i have to tune, which could void my warranty

ehboh had the ultimate racing exhaust, so that is what it will be. i think he had an evo x intercooler too but im not 100% sure. If its 7-8 inches tall then its an evo x, its its only like 4-5 inches tall then it isnt.

And in theory anything will void your warranty, but seeing as they sold you the car modified, getting the access port wont hurt you. Plus you can remove the tune are return to stock in under 2 minutes if you need to go in for service.

Yeah my intercooler is pretty small, think its the stock one. But the manager and the people at the dealer I got it were pretty cool, and they all knew the previous owner pretty well. I'm sure I could straight up ask the service guys if they care about the tunes and stuff with the warranty. lol
