Did you use a razor/xacto or scissors? I just used Scissors after making my template.

a razor blade. it probably doesnt help that it was during down-time at work, so i was kinda on and off with the whole project.

gc, if it turns out, i'll have him make a few and hook people up... for a nominal fee, of course. vinyl isnt exactly free, ya know?

Yeah I did my apex silver RA. It looks good. Mine is done with plastidip even though I had no success with PD on my nose ring, it has worked good on this.

What kind of vinyl did you use? I usually only deal with my Oracal supplier so I got Oracal 631 for my lip, only matte stuff they offered. However it really isn't meant to be in the sun. They recommend max of 1 year or it will start cracking, so I have been holding off on putting it on my hood.

For mine they gave me 3M vehicle wrap vinyl so it has a good outdoor life rating, I think she said 4-5 years.

However if you have access to Oracle just bump up to 651 and you'll get 3-4 years outdoor life. Or if your really worried about it jump to the 951 and you'll get 12 years.

Oracal 651 and 951 are both gloss. I first put on 951 and it looked really out of place being gloss and everything else flat black. I'll have to checkout the 3M stuff though.

They should have matte in black, at least according to the tech specs on the website.

If not, ask about vehicle wrap material.

ok, here they are:

Blacked Out Hood Scoop-scoop.jpg
in the close-up, i tried to get it to where you could see the texture, because it is literally identical in texture to the front bumper cross piece and is also satin black finish, identical to that same piece. so it fits with the rest of the car perfectly, imo

and then of course, something a little further back to give the full effect.

the vinyl is made by HEXIS

and yeah, gc, u got pm
