Got wheels and tires installed yesterday: 18x8.5 +35 TRMotorsport MT1 rims w/ 245/40 Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport for the tires. Had to roll the rear fenders.

I was a little doubtful about my decision to go with the Sportback at first, but this thread has definitely helped it to grow on me.

My bone-stock, silver-and-road-salt Sportback:

Don't really know what I want to do with it yet, but you all have certainly managed to give me plenty of ideas.

thanks, I have the calipers (they came in last week), just need to get pads, rotors, and ss brake lines now

i've been thinking about getting one of those bumper guards for my car too. some day light pics would be sweet if you don't mind.

Damn look at the size of that thing! Which caliper is that, I don't remember any being designed like that with just 2 ribs across the top (I thought all the pics showed than as being solid)?
I'll take some pics tmw for you, I really like it; I think the back end of the sportback looks way to plain vanilla (only part of the car I'm not in love with), this bumper guard really breaks up the monotony and adds some aggression.

those are the 6-piston Z06 calipers. most pictures of these are from the side, so seeing the openess across the top isn't really noticeable.

the bracket fits the caliper. haven't tried fitting the bracket to the car yet though...
