Got a piece today. Gonna try to make a cap with it.
Just want to know if I should do it with the X vents.

Would not matter unless you cut the crash beam as well.

If you're going to vent, I'd definitely say to make sure they match up in the same location as the stock evo vents. That way those who don't want to cut their beam can swap out to an Evo beam and have everything line up properly.

and here i thought this was a thread about VTA, i was coming in this thread up in arms! I was ready to finger shake lots of people. You could be different and mold a fiberglass emblem, and paint it blue. I was originally going to make some FG emblems that were different colors and see if anyone else liked the idea and or wanted them.

If you keep it stock, your car will look like a nice mod RalliART

If you vent it, your car will scream wannabe evo ... no

Your stock front end is nice, why do something that won't be fonctional ?

I'm tryin to create a product for everyone. I am not looking to create this for just myself. Also my FMIC is just as tall as the aftermarket evo ones. Why would i be considred a wanna be for tryin to gain air flow and horsepower?

It could very easily become fully functional with a crash-beam swap. The EvoX beam is a direct fit for our cars and would offer air passage back to the intercooler/radiator through these vent cutouts. Not very expensive either, and switching to the JDM X front beam shaves about 6-7 pounds off the front of the car as well.
