The floormats in my Evo are garbage after 10k miles. Obviously I want to get new ones, but I've read here on the forums that I'm not the only one who has noticed how crappy the OEM mats that one would get from the dealer are. I'm not about to pay $105 for crappy mats.

Are there any other types of mats that any of you have had any luck with?

Or... Are there any other places online that you've seen them for less than $105? I could handle paying a little less since the mats suck, but like I said, not $105.

I bought the mitsubishi all weather mats. Much heavier duty. Call your dealer and haggle.

A few months ago, I replaced the mats in my 911... The usual price is $130 for the front two mats, but I got them online at Sunset Porsche in Oregon for $78.

I'm looking for a deal like that if any of you have seen one...

Just a word of caution for those interested in aluminium or any other metal floor mat. DON'T DO IT. They are a pain to clean and will scratch easy, plus they just look ghay. I got fooled into buying some for my RSX and I felt like an idiot ricer, fortunatly the kid who bought it loved the floor mats.

I have the WeatherTech carpeted mats you see in the huge monthly spread in all the car magazines. The quality is pretty good, although not as amazing as they claim. Still, they do the job and look okay (mine are black). One thing that did irk me a bit, WeatherTech implies the mats are custom fit for you car, but they are not. All four mats needed to be trimmed to fit, particularly the driver's side. I had to cut out a notch for that stop underneath the accelerator pedal.

So, overall I give them a luke warm endorsement. I've heard good things about the Momo mats, although no one ever seems to answer the question of which size fits the Evo.

Yeah, mitsu part # MZ313067. I bought them sight unseen from the dealer. I wish they said "evo" or "evolution" on them, but they just say "lancer". I think dealers wants 89.99 for them, but try haggling with the parts guy. Worth a shot anyway. Otherwise mitsubishiparts.com has em for 67.

i know you guys are goin to laugh but what the hell i dont give a **** as long as my stock floor mats stay clean. i used bathroom mats you know the furry ones. it may sound and look kinda dumb but you could get them to match your interior and they keep the orginal mats clean and dry. when i go to events or just to local hang out i take them out and im the cleanest interior evo out there.

oh yeah and to clean them just smack them against the ground get all the rocks and pebbles out and throw them in the washer

I know what you guys mean about the OE mats. I have to wear steeltoe boots 5 days a week and I quickly wore out the Mitsu mats. Living in Wisconsin I wanted something with deep grooves to catch the snow and salt in the winter so I wound up with a complete WeatherTech setup.



They are sort of expensive but the rubber is extremely heavy duty and catches all the salt and snow I can throw at them.
