Advance Search - launching step posted by Warrtalon or SmikeEvo

Here is my tech. w/2step.

At the lights use shallow stage. This means as soon as you engage the 1st amber, slowly roll into the 2nd amber. As soon as that is lit, stop. ((This gives you a few extra inches to get it moving before the timers come on.))

Clutch in, gas to the floor, bouncing off 2step. Walk the clutch out a little bit just to the point that you feel all the slack coming out of it. Almost to the point of moving the car - hold it right there.

Amber, amber, green --- walk the clutch back fast but not dumping. Hold on for dear life and you are off and running (of course go before you see green - its all in the timing).

When done right it feels like all 4 are spinning and you are going like a bat-outta-hell.

On stock turbo and cams shift at 6800 to 7000 in all gears. You should be in 4th through the traps.

Yep. Clutch to the floor first, then gas. Take out clutch slack, slowly (but quickly) let it out.

What? Are you high?

Done right this will not burn your clutch. Slip too long or drop it - then yes.

If you have the time - take out the clutch restrictor in the clutch line.

I think getting it to work on stock clutch also depends on how much horsepower you have at the wheels. I have tried this technique once on my stock clutch using 2 step with 385whp. It did not work: (

The stock clutch will not last long if you launch your car alot. I took note of how many times I launch with the stock clutch and it was f*cked after 38 launches.

That is pretty good, I failed to note that my car had 40K on it when I bought it. I do not recomend that anyone launches there car with the stock clutch.
