As I have a RS, I didn't want to add a lot of weight to the car, but still have a listenable system. I went with the following setup:
- Diamond Audio D362 speakers in the front doors
- Nakamichi CD-300 HU - a clear, detailed presentation and display colors that match the dash lights
- JBL GTS 100X amp that fits in the glove box
- RAAMmat Butyl-based sound deadening in the front doors to keep the sound inside the car (2 layers)

hahah, hella nice set ups, i got me a stock deck where my gugae pod goes and guages where my deck goes. kinda cool! im putting in a kvt-911dvd this weekend so ill be tv blingin.

JBL Amp
I like your setup.
I checked the AMP at the JBL site, has not been made since 1998 according to their info.
Where did you get the AMP? Do you know of any good similar sized amps?
Seems like all of the current amps are huge and made extra large to look impressive, I would like something that I could stash like you did.
Any suggestions?

That's still a touch too big, unless one is wiling to do a little cutting in the glovebox. The issue is in the height. Given the sloped surface inside the glovebox, a 6.5" height is the max, and that's without using an amp rack. With an amp rack, the amp has to be even shorter. It may be possible to fit a slightly taller amp if its connections are on the sides and if it's thinner than normal. I'm not sure such an animal exists.
