Fitment question on TD Pro Race 1.2

Im planning on picking up a set of team dynamics pro race 1.2 (the ones that are basically the FQ400 wheels) and Im a bit confused about offset. I know that offset is the distance from the center of the wheel that the wheel mounts up.

What Im confused is Ive been seeing most people say that they got the wheels in 17x8 with a +27 offset...the stock BBS wheels are a 17x8 with a +35 offset. The closest offset that the TD wheels come in to be near the BBS wheels is a +38 offset...which the hell offset should I get if I want the fitment to be correct, the +27 or the +38? What would the +27 do versus the +38? The tires on my car right now are 245/40 I dont want to have to roll the fenders and get spacers or any of that crap I wanna just put the friggin wheels on lol.

Any help???

Edit, ok now Im seeing on TDs website the offsets and 27 doesnt exist on a 17x8....a 25, 33, and 38 do though...helppp!

I too am looking at those wheels. I am not an expert in wheel fitment but from my searching and asking around ... if you can do 18x8.5 wheels with a +30 to +35mm offset all day long with no issues on 235/40 or 255/35 tires. You can even do 18x9 wheels with a +35mm offset with no issues on 235/40 or 255/35 tires. If you do a 17x8.5 and stick with the stock tire size (235/45) then anything from +28 to +35 will be fine. Let me know what you decide to go with because I am thinking about getting a set. I would suggest contacting Team Dynamic and ask them which would best if you Evo.

You should call Dan at Mach V in Virginia. He's a Team Dynamics dealer and a whiz with wheel fitment. He'll hook you up.

Sub'd. I just picked up some of these in 17x9 +35 from TD direct. The fellow I was dealing with said their data showed +27 to be the correct fitment. However, I currently have +35 fn01r-c on my car, so I decided to go with what I know. I'll post back once I get them on.

Did you get these on yet? (didn't know if picked up meant ordered, or literally picked up) A couple pictures would be great too!! Any idea of the 17x9 wheel weights on the TD?

pro race 1.2 17x9" : 9.5 kg each
regarding offset it will depend on your brake set up
-> see the attached files (i got this template from the TD factory before buying)
on my OEM brembo setup +30 offset was nearly touching the caliper when testing with the template so I went for ET25 offset

hope it helps

I <3 Team Dynamic rims. My TDs are 16 lbs. Just wish they were easier to get a hold of in the US.

The importer is in california and the # is 909 974 0114.I have sold many to clients and they really like them.If you track with these wheels ask for the aluminium center rings the plastic ones will deform from brake heat.On the street not a problem!
