Looks good i would get a 3" catback maby a tanable medalion pretty quiet and stealth and if you go with a HFC do a mil spec 100 cell they only give up a few hp to a test pipe. Oh yea do a speedelement omg bolt on filter you can even do a stealth box mod and make it look stock.

I want to look stock too so the AMS, not sure I think it sticks out further and has a round rather than oval muffler.
After reading how many configs some people here have tried I'm thinking what the hey, save a few hundo and sound closer to stock and visually be stock.
Thanks for the ideas, that OMG sounds good.

Your mod plan is great! You should see some nice gains. As for the HFC, I am running the Mil.Spec 100 cell cat and it is awesome. Great quality and doesn't stink like my old test pipe and flows plenty.
You are definitely on the right path.
Edit: You definitely need to go with a catback, I thought I saw it on the list. You need to uncork the exhaust from the back to the front.

Still wondering it I shouldn't just try the dang tanabe but not convinced.
It's funny I read here about all these NoVA exhaust ***** but i've been driving WRX with vishnu signature TBE (magnaflow/HFC) around here for 6 years and I LOVE to get on it all the time and i've never had a problem with the Police. but I'm in Arlington and DC mainly and the Subaru has no wing is very stealthy looking so maybe that's the diff.
I just don't want to start getting hassled by the man.

I would say do the full cat back, and for a stockish appearance look at magnaflow. Nice suttle low note with the cats in place. I love the sound of mine, but now I am on a DC downpipe w/cat delete.

all ur mods sound good for a budget build, imo ditch the megan 02, itll be fine for now on a stock turbo, but if u ever go stock appearing and up the boost to a high amount there have been boost creep issues due to the smaller hole where the wastegate opens, some people believe the hole is to small to flow the amoutn of air needed at higher boost. IMO swap it for a titek, or invidia somethin along those lines. The downpipe for the most part there all about the same make similar power to each other.

in all honesty the only issue the invidia has is extending the 02 sensor wire, my titek v1 o2 housing has been good no boost creep issues, even tuned on my fp red last year at 26 psi. Yea ur right nothing a dremel tool cant fix, but at the same time, i see u made 401 on e85, once u start goin north of 450 either on ur turbo, or a bigger turbo you will start to have that issue unless you port it, but problem with porting the megan 02 is your taking more material out of the inside, thus makin it more likely to crack from repeated heat cycles. thats just my opinion me personally theres things i go cheap on like anyone else, an 02 housing wouldnt be one of them. but hey good luck and happy hp hunting.
