Like the car but eventually want more power. Mod bug is easy to catch. Debating on sending in core for FP Green or pushing stock turbo to its limits. Not factored in yet, but I'll prob eventually go with bigger injectors and fuel pump.

OEM Turbocharger - purchased for $300/shipped

OEM O2 housing - purchased stock Evo X housing $50/shipped

Downpipe - purchased UR short DP w/ gasket + bung $194/shipped
http://www.ultimate-racing.com/Produ...Downpipe.shtml

OEM Evo X intake w/ turbo inlet hose- $65/shipped

Misc. Package - $350/shipped

OEM Exhaust manifold - see misc. package

OEM Turbo Outlet pipe - see misc. package

OEM Inlet elbow - see misc. package

OEM Evo X MAF housing - see misc. package

Oil feed line - see misc. package

Oil return line - see misc. package

Coolant feed/return pipes - see misc. package

Exhaust stud x2 - see misc. package
Turbo to manifold gasket - see misc. package
Turbo to 02 housing gasket - see misc. package
Coolant banjo bolt x2 - see misc. package
Coolant banjo bolt gasket x4 - see misc. package
Inlet elbow gasket - see misc. package

Final total: $959/shipped

Now everything gets to sit in my garage until summer when I have time to do my swap with some help. I think I did good on overall cost of parts. Anyone know a rough estimate on how long it takes to swap everything out (if I didn't forget anything)? Figured it would take all day.

When i did my evoX swap, i also had the evoX MAF housing with a filter on it, I just used the rubber part of the Ralliart intake (between the inlet pipe and MAF housing) and cut it shorter to 1. fit the Inlet pipe, and 2. so i could use a regular battery

A lot of the bigger price items you can find from our fellow Evo X owners who are selling their OEM parts. All of the gaskets and oil/water lines i would reccomend getting new. Just google OEM mitsubishi and that site has all the gaskets and lines for around $250 (including shipping)

Turbo, o2 housing, and DP were purchased from different sellers. Everything else (misc package) was purchased from one seller on this forum in the For Sale section.

I might try that out. Just looking for suggestions because I would like to avoid going the SRI route.

You and me both Short of doing a full battery relocation I don't see anyone making cold air style intake that will accommodate the swap.

For reference a 100% bone stock Ralliart puts down approx 190-195whp on this dyno. Tuned stock Ralliarts put down around 220 whp.

You can reference those numbers from my personal Ralliart thread here.

Would be interesting to see what the car would do with a full exhaust and a upgraded intake system.
At the end of January, you posted this in a thread Bryan. How did you manage to fit the stock RA intake to the Evo X turbo is what me and Mad_SB have been trying to figure out? Ultimately so we can keep the stock battery in the stock RA location (and reduce noise for the sleeper effect).

RRE did the EvoX turbo install. Mike@RRE makes an alumn adapter that bolts to the Evo X turbo inlet in order to keep the stock RA intake.

A lot of these parts are used and were purchased from the For Sale section of these forums. Only new part ordered was the UR short downpipe. Had I went with the stock X DP, I would've saved another $140 b/c the person that sold me the o2 housing also had a stock X DP for $50.

Part of the reason I started this thread was to add to the research already performed by Eric@AMS along with others and assist the community with the overall process and cost of performing the X swap. Everyone's cost and experience is bound to be different but this thread adds to the information available to the RA family.

It begs to answer the question, "How much would it cost to perform an X swap?"

In my case it was $894......so far.

Looks like Mike@RRE may pursue fabbing up more of his custom turbo inlet pipes. Think there are prob some RA owners interested in the X swap that can benefit from this.
