My Evo work-in-progress pics
White 2003 Evo:
AMS Turbo kit with BB 50 trim turbo (PTE Housing)
AMS VSR intake manifold with Works 65mm throttle body
AMS Ported Head with Supertech valvetrain
Ross Pistons (8.5:1)
Crower Rods
780cc injectors
HKS 280 cams timed at +2/0
Vishnu adj. cam gears with clear camgear cover
Ludikraut custom exhaust piping (made by AMS)
AMS resonated test pipe
AMS downpipe
AMS IC and AMS IC piping (upper and lower)
saikou Michi Dual Catch Can
Ludikraut custom intake (made by AMS)
TIAL BOV
Exedy Twin Metallic (HD) clutch
Innovate LC-1 with XD-1 or Innovate LM-1 wideband
Innovate LMA-3
Summit Racing battery trunk relocation kit
Cusco V-brace, trunk bar
Custom brake ducts and brake air guides
AMS Front Splitter
Customized Vishnu rear diffuser
Rotorpro rotors, Hawk HPS or HP+ pads with Girodisc Ti pad spacers
Rolling on 18x9 TDR Pro Race 1.2 with Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3 265/35 tires on the street, and stock Enkeis at the track.
Omori gauges mounted in Gruppe-S gauge panel (replaces the radio/A-C panel)
Alpine head unit, Infinity speakers
Odds and ends: ’05 cupholder added, 2.0t badge (from Saab), battery cutoff switch, Vibrant CF shifter knob, sound deadening provided by .... UPS moving blanket in trunk!
Tuned by: AMS Crew (Martin & Chris) and myself
All this results in:
Peak power is ~421whp at 7200 RPM (93 Octane, 22psi), fuel cut at 9000 RPM
Spoolup is at ~3200 RPM in lower gears, ~3000 RPM in higher gears (e.g. 4th/5th)
Full spool is at ~3700 RPM in lower gears
Engine VE > 100% between 4000 – 7250 rpm
Engine management is currently via AEM EMS, logging via AEM and Logworks

How good is the stock wiring to the door speakers?
How much of a pain are the door panels to get off/on?
Did you leave the pillar speakers hooked up?
Nice setup tho I had those same speakers & alpine amp in my celica

IMHO the stock wiring to the door speakers sucks a$$, the reasons being:
- does not use a crossover for the front component speakers
- front speaker wiring is simply split into two as part of a PITA harness that's located near the wheel wells in the passenger compartment (one on each side)
I chose to route new wiring completely ... if you look closely at the door pics, you'll see where the new speaker wire (wrapped in white electrical tape) goes from the door to the passenger compartment. Also because the Infinity's use a crossover, I chose to mount the Infinity tweeter on the door instead of trying to use the stock location.

Not bad at all. I did get a copy of the service manual ($cheap$ off eBay), which showed me where all of the mounting points were at. As long as you use something flat and wide (read: not a screwdriver, rather something kinda like a bottle opener), the panel comes off without too much of a problem. It re-assembled fairly well also, meaning that I didn't pick up any additional rattles

Nope, they are still connected to the stock wiring, but since I bypassed the front speaker wiring altogether, they are off. For the rear speakers I did use the stock wiring, I even bastardized the stock speakers and connected the Infinitys using the stock speaker harness.
All-in-all it sounds 1000% better than stock ... also got an Infinity Basslink sub waiting to be hooked up, but I'm going to wait until I relocate my battery to the trunk b4 I hook it up.

Hey looks good. I was hoping you could tell me how you like your razo shift knob? I need a new shift knob, but I haven't been able to find one that really caught my eye. That one I've seen on lancershop, but I can't decide if I like it or not. Maybe some more pics and/or your personal experiences with it? Thanks!

Like the stereo relocation, but would REALLY like to re-locate the HVAC down there instead, to free up room for a double DIN stereo up the top
Anyone know if ANY manufacturor makes a HVAC relocation kit to accomplish the above.
