EMS question

Can a 2g eclipse EMS be used for a 2003 evo since they have the same plugs?

My understanding is that they can't. The evo comes with several new features that he eclipse didn't offer. For example the evo comes with a factory fuel relay so there is no need to do a complete rewire to make your own. The EMS controls this relay completely. There are other things as well this being the reason why AEM created the 1313 model. I am sure the base platform is very similar, this being the reason that they could develop it so fast becuase they didn't have to start from ground zero like they have been doing for the SRT-4 but I don't think you can use anything but the 1313 for the EVO.

In theory it is possible. But you would be so much better off selling the 2G box and buying an EVO box. If you had been using the EMS for years and knew how to reassign inputs and outputs and had full knowlege of both wiring diagrams it _can_ be done.

Quantum EVO was running a 2G DSM Box on his Evo before the Evo box came out, so it is possible.

It probably won't be a problem but honestly to get 100% you really just need to be trained on the EMS so you can know what and how to adjust things once you get back to your home country. The EMS isn't hard once you get a handle on things.
