Widebands compatable with AEM EMS?

Hey all, I just got my EMS yesterday and I just wanted to see which widebands seem to work the best for it. If those experienced could chime in I would really be appreciative. Thanks in advance guys!

DO NOT BUY AEM UEGO. That is all..

Actually if you go into the sensors setup it'll show you a list of what's compatible. However it does not show you what the 'best' is.

I would suggest LM1, Zeitronics, or FJO

If you really want the AEM UEGO pm me because I'm selling mine cheap.

HAHA thanks but no thanks man! Reason I started this thread is because I dont want to use the UEGO. I'll probably go for the zeitronics or the PLX. I really like the display and its easy to read. Unless someone tells me it won't interface well.

The FJO has a nice display and I know for sure it works great with the AEM.

The LM1 is just o..k(big bulky unit) I sold mine to go with the UEGO, bad decision..

I have used the FJO since October of 2003 and it has worked flawlessly for me.

Any wideband is actually compatible with the AEM. If there is not an option for it in the wizard, you always have the ability to put in the cal table yourself as long as the wideband comes with a voltage vs AFR chart for the fuel you are using (every wideband should come with this).

The Wideband I generally reccomend to people (and the one I run in my cars) is the FJO. Its top notch air-craft quality, and you can't go wrong with it. To test the FJO they do things put it in a freezer, put it in temperature of boiling water, drop it, etc and the damn thing still works.. if you can believe that! Its a little more costly, but based on the problems I have seen with other, cheaper widebands, and the fact that it is SO critical to the tuning of the car, its an area I would rather not skimp on.

What are the problems that people are seeing using the AEM Uego? Where can you purchase the other units from?

Even properly calibrated, it reads a full point off of a trusted dynoshop wideband..

I'm also looking for a wideband. So will any plx work with the AEM such as the plx m300?

Yes it is what I use, it works very very well. It is a linear readout so very easy to setup with no issues. Cheap replacement sensors as well.

I have the MX500 and it is very nice. Pretty consistent output and seems to read quite accurately. Now I just need the EMS.

Did you try sending it back to AEM? From what I've seen they in general try to work with people on getting their products right.
