re-sync your ignition timing, that fixed the problem for me. Before everybody gets their panties in a bunch about syncing the timing on a non adjusted cammed evo > believe me not all cars are the same.... Check out the thread i just posted, regarding the knock fix. Hit the crank with a timing gun and verify timing @ idle then at 4500 RPM, im almost sure it would be completely off about 10-12 advanced just like mine was on the setting given in the base EVO cal.

I firmly agree, I have seen several cars with ignition timing off with or without cam gears. I check all cars for piece of mind, it helps prevent things like this down the road. Even if the ignition is right usually the comp delay is off so the ignition timing jumps around at higher rpm.

Thanks! I will definitely check that when I get a chance.

Update!

I had the RnR manifold switched out with my new ported and coated manifold from Buschur. I am still experiencing the knock jumping around(3-4.2 volts), so when I get back in town this upcoming weekend I am going to resync the timing as suggested and see if that solves my knock issue.

I also installed Magnacore 8.5 wires and the misfiring has not happened again since.

As for the misfire issue - I strongly suggest the HKS DLI-2
