hks dli / AEM ems

I have the HKS dli on the way. Yippee!!
Anyway... I have had mixed advise on install. I have been told to just plug and play with no adjustments, but with this being done the results end up with fried coil packs. I was advised to go into the set up for AEM and adjust the coil dwell for cdi.

Can i just plug and play or is there a need to tune? Anyone that has already trouble shooted this with an intelligent answer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Plug and play is fine. That's exactly what it is for. Won't fry anything. Have it installed on my car without any problems.

me too. 6+ months without even a hiccup. It's an idiot-proof install, just make sure you grab a good ground. I'll post a pic of how I mounted mine in a bit. I think it makes for a cleaner look than I have seen on some other cars.

Here are the pics I mentioned. I only posted them because I didn't like the mounting location recommended in the HKS instructions. Just a suggestion. Good luck.

Excellent pics. Thanks for all the input guys. I am going to go with plug and play and no adjustments.

I am only running stock turbo right now with about 22-23 lbs of boost.....so I guess my other question might be for advice on plugs and gap with this system. I am currently running the NGK/BPR7ES STOCK #2023 from NAPA and changing every oil change or every other gapped at 28.

Thanks again!
