which pc card to serial card?

which one will work with my laptop. I don't have serial so i need a pc card to serial. I've heard some work and some don't. Anyone know one that works for sure?

I'm running the ruggedized serial I/O from socketcom.com Not cheap, but it works with no problems.

I have the QUATECH PCMCIA Card with Serial adapter (SSP-100). You can order from quatech.com

i think the price was b/w 120-130...i think

I have used 2 different ones one of which was a Radio Shack. All I needed to do to get them to work was change the port it connects with.

I use the Keyspan USB to Serial adapter and it has worked flawlessly on three different EMS's.

I got the ebay's $23 PCMCIA Card with ethernet looking connection that connects to the PCMCIA Card and the other end connects to the serial port.

RS-232 worked beautifully.

Got it from this vendor called "geeks".

got mine from cdw, pcmcia to serial is like the only way it has worked for me, tried usb to serial and none of those work.. just find a nice pcmcia to serial adapter..
