Configure -> Units -> AFR Units CLICK AFR GASOLINE -> CLICK APPLY -> CLICK OK
If it still doesn't display you don't have the white wire from the gauge wired to O2 #1. Even if AFR Gasoline is selected it defaults to CLICK on AFR Gasoline CLICK on Apply CLICK on OK

What alpha says is right: most EVO's maps are set in Methanol so you have readings in 4, 5 usually 6.5 which means 14.7 in gasoline. Do what he says first.
Otherwise, If you see that AFR changes (goes down which means is making the mix richer) as you press the fuel pedal then goes back to 8 and stays then your gain has bad offset.
The manual says you have to take the O2 sensor out to calibrate it but I did this and also worked:
Having the car hot and idle move the O2 gain up till matches your wideband gauge values.
BUT you have to be very sure that your wideband sensor and gauge are accurate and wired propperly otherwise you might get too lean and will hurt your engine because you're changing your scale from 8 to 14 so thats leaning the hole fuel system.

Where's the WB02 grounding at? I've found on the aem cars I've worked on (non-evo) with similar problems it's a grounding issue. Grounding @ the same spot as the ecu is best...Some of the guys with rear mount battery even have to run a full length ground from - side of the battery to the ecu/ems ground. The ems/gauge should be within .2 from eachother max, if it's more even after you've adjusted your gain, you most likely have a ground issue.
