Well I got my answer, my friend has a series 2 aem ems and he told me he wishes he had bought a series 1. So with that being said it's the series 1 I'll be buying.

No real changes to the series 1 boxes just minor tweaks and updates to the boards. The black box series 1 is the most current series 1. You can actually check what was done by looking at the side of the box and see what revision/mod is check on the sticker on the side as well as part number. The only way to tell the difference between a series 1 and a series 2 EMS black box will be the Series 2 on the front of the box.

The hardware, software and features on the Series 2 is light years better than the Series 1 and from what I have tuned the Series 2 is the way to go.
