revving pass rev limit

Hey all,

I have an aem ems v1 in my car and even with the rev limit set to 7800 it still revs to 9k. Fuel cut is set to 8k. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Setup->Rev Limeters->Main Rev Limiter->Main Rev Limiter Wizard-> Select Level 10.

This might be your Rev Limit Cut Level. I have seen the base maps with Level 1 set and that would allow you to just continue reving as high as you want. Once I changed mine to level 10 it solved my problems. Now if you are running NLTS you can still overshoot your Main Rev Limit, you will need to search the AEM Forums for full details, not going to re type it all.

just know that any type of rev limiter, be it 2 step or NLS limiters CAN all over-ride the main rev limiter.

if you activate a certain rev limiter, then that is the rev limiter.

there is no safety net.

if you dont beleive me, set your main rev limiter to 2k revs, then set your launch / 2 step to 3k & note where your engine revs too
