High RPM timing error cam/crank sync issue

Thought this was a v1 box problem

At about 7k, the tach goes weird, starts breaking up / acts like it hits the rev limiter. AEM shows timing errors.

Under 7k, 0 timing errors. Car starts literally instantly.. it gets sync'd as soon as the motor turns over. Seems good otherwise. Dwell set for my coils, this is at low boost too. Limiter is set at 8100, nothing obvious in the tune that's off.

Cam sensor is almost new, crank sensor is not.. but stock ECU has 0 problems and saw 8100 rpms constantly w/o issues.

I have extra grounds on the head, and chassis that I ran previously (always add grounds to my cars).

Where do I go from here... had a lot of issues with this box already, pretty disappointed so far. Help much appreciated!

What AEM unit?

Here is my thread on the AEM forums, when it happened to me on the infinity.

It was a dead Cam Angle Sensor.

It's a series 2, iirc B and B.

I fixed it though.... I had some shielded wire from another aem project. Ran new wire from the ECU to the cam sensor, new power and ground through a relay from the battery for it as well. Routed the shielded wire up front around the passenger side of the engine bay to keep it away from my coil/wire setup.

Pulls clean to 8100, 0 timing errors after making several pulls...yay!

99% its cam sensor, you can switch it off but anyway the problem will stay
