laptop for tuning

Got my laptop stolen last weekend. While looking, I was fortunate enough to find a japanese market micro one. This thing is not us market- the screen is only 6.5" across the thing is it is designed to be used standing or sitting so you can control the pointer with your right thumb and the buttons on the left are the left and right mouse buttons. Works slick. Runs the ems software flawlessly and you can see everything very clearly. Easier to tune with while sitting in the passenger seat while you have someone do 3rd gear pulls.

picked one up that looks brand new for 1100 on ebay.

PICTURE IS ACTUAL SIZE

Damn that thing is small! I wonder why they didn't market it in the US?

Does it have a serial port? I have heard of people having trouble with serial to USB converters with the EMS.... have you had any problems connecting?

It has firewire, 2 usb ports. Just stay away from belkin and the usb to serials work great.

I got this Dell CPi from EBAY for under $300 It's fairly small and easy to maneuver in the car and runs the AEM sofware just fine. I put Windows 2000 in it with 128MB of ram. The screen is small, but it seems to be a good, cost effective alternative for me...
