EMS and exhaust silencer
Hey,
I've run into a situation where I need to use my silencer in my exhaust. My car was tuned without the silencer or cat and I was wondering if adding the silencer for a long trip would affect anything other than power on the car. Also I need to bring my car to the dealership to get my T-Case checked out and I'm going to put my cat back on so it doesn't look like I "race" the car all the time plus a test pipe is illegal in my state. Will adding the cat have any negative affects on the car other then power and will it still drive and idle the same?
My Mods:
HKS 272's
Greddy I/C
Greddy 720cc injectors
Greddy Ti Exhaust
Dejon tool upper I/C pipe
Dejon tool non-mas intake and K&N filter
Hallman MBC
ARP head studs
AEM EMS
HKS TT
RMR test pipe (I also have a UR high flow cat)
Cusco Twin plate carbon clutch

With the HKS 272's you may actually see an improvement in your idle after putting the cat into the system again, and you will loose about 1 psi of boost if you are using a manual controler. Other than that everything should work out fine for you.
