To all Philippine car enthusiast...I need your opinions.
Sold my EVO 7 more than a year ago. Now im in the "NEED FOR SPEED" again.
I have a contact in japan where I can get my hands on any performance used japanese car. What would you suggest? My selection not in any particular order:
1) EVO 5 or 6 - always liked the looks of this model, looked way more aggressive than my 7. I cant forget the EVO 5 of takeshi(owner of a shop in banaue?) VERY NICELY DONE!! BESTLOOKING EVO 5 I've seen here.
2) Silvia S14 or 15 - looks wicked but slower than the EVO 5/6. hard to convert?
3) Integra type R (DC2) - looks nice. Dont know if easy to convert
4) Civic type R (EK9) - I think this would be the easiest to convert to left hand drive. Plus its look never goes out of style. Used to own an Si in the states (SIR) here.
All these cars are gonna be converted at the port of entry, Im just concerend that some of these models cannot be converted properly because they are not that common like the silvia.
I based my choices on my budget. So I did not include the skyline R33, R34, Subaru Sti w/c are still expensive. Its just gonna be my tempory car that i will sell once I get my hands on some mucho dineros in the future and get me a better performance car. Hehe.
What you guys think?

Proceed to Emperor Motorsports and ask them to look for an original LHD Evo 6 Tommi Makinen Edition. A friend of mine told me that there are more used TMEs being sold than Evo 5s, but you would really be lucky if someone would sell you his original LHD Evo 5 for less than 900k.
If I were you, stick to the Evos. May mahahanap ka dyan Evo 5 or Evo 6 / TME, but get na orig LHD, para wala na sakit sa ulo.
But if you really want to import a car from Japan, go na for a Skyline GT-R!

TME"s are hard to find. If available then its gonna be too expensive. EVO 5 & 6 here in pinas that are for sale mostly laspag na makina(mostly drag & circuit racing). The owners who dont race their cars are most likely not gonna sell or will sell at higher price. Thats why im looking at the japanese market coz I can get an EVO 5 or 6 at an insanely low price.
Its just gonna be my toy car....I can get parts of HKS, tanabe, TEIN, MUGEN, WORK, etc....at also very low price w/ terms since the distributor here is a friend of mine. The 900T for an evo 5 is way over priced.
Im not afraid coz the importer is also a friend. & they have brought in numerous perfomance cars here from japan.
I know Dolf of emperor, nice guy. I was invited at their Xmas party back in 05 or 06 i think.
Also have riden w/ an evo 7 RS that was converted to left hand & it was just the same in terms of steering response & acceleration.

EVO 6 TME go for 1,290,000 yen. Standard evo 6 around half that price or a little bit more...i'll go w/ the standard...hehe. My white evo 7 was bought by some guy from davao. Maybe you know him? He also owns a silvia and used to own an evo 4 & 5.

Is he a relative of Mayor Duterte? I know the owner of the Evo 6 TME. I was about to buy an R34 GTR before and I had contacts too in Freed, except I opted for the R35 instead.
